Background and Aim: The influence of maternal exercise training on Hear rate variability has not yet been well monitored.
Materials and Methods: In this randomized clinical trial, There were 12 healthy pregnant women in 24th - 26th week of gestational age in the interventional group and 10 healthy pregnant women in the control group. The interventional group were taken part in aerobic exercise training with moderate intensity. Before training both groups completed physical activity questionnaire and nutrition checklist. Anthropometric measures like height, weight, body mass index, skinfolds, and also blood pressure, electrocardiogram and aerobic exercise test were monitored.
Ethical Considerations: This study with research ethics code IR.IAU.SRB.REC.1397.101 has been approved by research ethics committee at science and research branch, Islamic Azad University of Tehran and also has been registered with code IRCT20190227042856N1 at Iranian Registry of Clinical Trials (IRCT).
Findings:
Standard deviation of normal to normal interval (SDNN), low frequency band (LF), and root mean square of the successive differences (RMSSD) were more in trained pregnant women (consequently: 85.75±62.22, 63.50±53.06,452.08±505.89) at 34th week of pregnancy than pregnant women in control group (consequently: 51.80±13.89,27.70±31.01,1502.80±871.73) and differences in means were statistically meaningful.(P
