بررسی اثر آروماتراپی بر روی کیفیت خواب دوران پری‌منوپوز و منوپوز: مرور سیستماتیک و متاآنالیز

چکیده

مقدمه: یکی از شایع‌ترین مشکلات زنان یائسه، اختلال خواب می­باشد. این اختلال می­تواند با علائم خفیف تا شدید و ناتوان کننده در افراد مختلف بروز نماید. یکی از رویکردهای مورد استفاده جهت رفع اختلال خواب، استفاده از طب مکمل از جمله آروماتراپی است. مطالعه مرور سیستماتیک و متاآنالیز حاضر با هدف ارزیابی و جمع‌بندی نتایج کارآزمایی­های بالینی انجام شده در مورد تأثیر آروماتراپی بر اختلالات خواب زنان پره و پست منوپوز انجام شد.
روش‌کار: جهت انجام این مطالعه، منابع الکترونیکی لاتین مانند PubMed، Scopus، ISI Web of Science، Cochrane Library و پایگاه­های اطلاعاتی فارسی مانند SID و Magiran به‌صورت سیستماتیک بدون محدودیت زمانی تا تاریخ 10 فوریه 2018 مورد جستجو قرار گرفتند. جهت ارزیابی کیفیت مقالات از مقیاس جداد استفاده شد. ساعت خواب و یا کیفیت خواب گزارش شده در مقاله به عنوان پیامد اصلی مطالعه در نظر گرفته شد.
یافته‌ها: در 4 مطالعه یافت شده از اسانس اسطوخودوس به تنهایی و یا همراه سایر روش­ها و رایحه­ها جهت آروماتراپی استفاده شده بود. نتایج متاآنالیز انجام شده بر روی سه مطالعه‌ای که کیفیت خواب را گزارش کرده بودند، نشان داد که مقدار اختلاف میانگین استاندارد شده بین دو گروه مداخله و کنترل (347/2-329/0 CI: 95%) 338/1 بود که این اختلاف نشان دهنده بهبودی کیفیت خواب در گروه مداخله در مقایسه با گروه کنترل بود (009/0=p). در مطالعه‌ای که ساعت خواب نمونه­ها گزارش شده بود، اختلاف معنی‌داری بین دو گروه مداخله و کنترل یافت نشد (373/0=p).
نتیجه‌گیری: رایحه درمانی با اسانس اسطوخودوس به‌صورت تنها یا در ترکیب با سایر روش­ها می‌تواند اثرات سودمندی بر بهبود کیفیت خواب زنان پره و پست منوپوز داشته باشد.

Introduction: One of the most common problems in postmenopausal women is sleep disorders. This disorder can be manifested by mild to severe symptoms of discomfort in different people. One of the approaches to relieve sleep disorders is the use of complementary medicine, including aromatherapy. This systematic review and meta-analysis was conducted with the aim to evaluate and summarize the results of clinical trials on the effects of aromatherapy in premenopausal and postmenopausal women with sleep disorders.
Methods: Latin databases such as PubMed, Scopus, ISI Web of Science, Cochrane Library, and Persian databases such as SID and magiran were systematically searched until 10 February 2018 without time limitation. The Jadad scale was used to evaluate the quality of the articles. Sleep duration or sleep quality was considered as the main outcome of the study.
Results: Among 4 found studies, Lavender essence was used for aromatherapy alone or in combination with other methods or fragrances. The results of the meta-analysis on three studies which had reported the quality of sleep showed that the standardized mean difference between intervention and control groups was 1.338 (95% CI: 0.329-2.347); this difference shows sleep quality score was improved in the intervention group compared to the control group (p = 0.009). In one study which had reported the sleep time of samples, there was no significant difference between intervention and control groups in sleep hours (p = 0.373).
Conclusion:Lavender essence aromatherapy alone or in combination with other methods can have beneficial effects on improving the sleep quality in pre and postmenopausal women
