Abstract

Beneh Ointmenton the prevention of pregnancy striae has not been done so far,the present study was conducted with the aim ofdetermining the effect of Beneh Ointment on the prevention of intensity pregnancy striae infirst-time pregnant women.
Methods:This randomized controlled clinical trial study was conducted in2023-2024on70primiparous women who referred to Hazrat Abulfazl and Imam Sajjad health centers inZahedancity.The research units were placed intwo intervention and placebo groupsfirst as available and then randomly assigned permutation blocks.The data collection tools included demographic and midwifery information questionnaire,Davi's checklist,study complications and satisfaction questionnaire,and study process checklist.After collecting information,data analysis was done with SPSSstatistical software(version24)and parametric and non-parametric statistical tests.The significance levelfor the tests was considered less than0.05with a confidence interval of95%.Results:The intra-group comparison of the studied groups showed that the mean and standard deviation of pregnancy striae severity score before the intervention was(1.37±2.10) in the intervention group and(1.69±2.13)in the placebo group;Mann_Whitney test did not show this difference to be significant(p =0.690).Also,the findings showed that after the intervention,the mean and standard deviation of the pregnancy striae severity score was0.26±0.950in the intervention group and(1.12 ±2.03)in the placebo group,and the Mann-Whitney test showed this difference to be significant(p = 0/008).Conclusion:The results of the study showed that Beneh ointment reduces the severity score of pregnancy striae in pregnant women.Key words: Pistacia atlantica,prevention,stretch marks,intensity, primigravidity pregnancy
