گزارش یک مورد عارضه جانبی بادکش درمانی موضعی بر خونریزی طبیعی رحم

چکیده

مقدمه: بادکش درمانی، یکی از روش‌های رایج در طب ایرانی است که به‌طور گسترده برای بهبود مشکلات جسمی و تنظیم عملکرد بدن مورد استفاده قرار می‌گیرد. با این‌حال، مستندات محدودی درباره اثرات درمانی و عوارض احتمالی آن وجود دارد. این مطالعه موردی با هدف بررسی تأثیر بادکش درمانی بر خونریزی طبیعی رحم انجام شد.
معرفی بیمار: بیمار خانم ۴۱ ساله با شکایت اصلی ناباروری و سابقه ذخیره تخمدانی پایین، پس از مراجعه به کلینیک طب ایرانی تحت اصلاح سبک زندگی و درمان‌های مکمل از جمله بادکش درمانی قرار گرفت. پس از انجام بادکش در ناحیه زیر شکم و تخمدان، بیمار با تأخیر ۱۵ روزه در قاعدگی مواجه شد. در ادامه، پس از تکرار بادکش در ماه بعد، تأخیر قاعدگی به ۲ ماه افزایش یافت.
نتیجه‌گیری: این مطالعه موردی، اولین گزارش از تأخیر قابل‌توجه در خونریزی ماهیانه پس از بادکش درمانی موضعی است. مکانیسم احتمالی این عارضه ممکن است شامل: تغییر در جریان خون لگنی، تأثیر بر سیستم عصبی خودمختار یا تغییرات هورمونی ناشی از تحریک موضعی باشد. یافته‌های این مطالعه بر ضرورت انجام پژوهش‌های بیشتر برای بررسی پیامدهای بالینی بادکش درمانی و شناسایی مکانیسم‌های احتمالی آن تأکید دارند. همچنین، آگاهی‌بخشی به متخصصان و بیماران درباره این عارضه احتمالی می‌تواند به مدیریت بهتر آن کمک کند.

A Case Report of Local Cupping Therapy Side Effect on Normal Uterine Bleeding

Introduction: Cupping therapy is one of the common methods in Persian Medicine, widely used to improve physical problems and regulate body functions. However, there is limited documentation regarding its therapeutic effects and potential adverse outcomes. This case was reported with aims to investigate the impact of cupping therapy on the natural menstrual cycle.
Case Presentation: A 41-year-old woman with a chief complaint of infertility and a history of low ovarian reserve, after visiting a Persian medicine clinic underwent lifestyle modifications and complementary treatments, including cupping therapy. Following abdominal and ovarian cupping, the patient experienced a 15-day delay in menstruation. In the subsequent month, after repeated cupping, the menstrual delay extended to two months.
Conclusion: This case study presents the first report of significant menstrual delay following localized cupping therapy. The possible underlying mechanisms may include alterations in pelvic blood flow, effects on the autonomic nervous system, or hormonal changes induced by local stimulation. These findings highlight the need for further research to explore the clinical implications and underlying mechanisms of cupping therapy. Additionally, raising awareness among healthcare professionals and patients about this potential side effect can contribute to better management strategies.
