Abstract
Introduction: . This study aimed to evaluate the quality of approved midwifery curricula in the clinical education program of medical students with the job needs of physicians working in health centers of South Khorasan Province.

Methods: In this descriptive-analytical study, 86 general practitioners of Birjand city were selected and examined using convenience sampling in 1402. The data collection tool was a researcher-made questionnaire with 33 questions. The validity of the tool was confirmed by medical education experts, physicians, and specialists, and its reliability was obtained by calculating Cronbach's alpha coefficients of 0.81. The research data were analyzed using SPSS16 statistical software and one-sample t-test, independent t-test, analysis of variance, and Pearson correlation.

Results: 86 general practitioners with a mean age of 30.69 ± 6.31 years participated in this study. The average score of the headings (pregnancy care, physiology of labor, course of labor and care during childbirth, premature labor, post-term pregnancy) is less than the theoretical average of 1.5; therefore, these headings can be slightly matched with the job needs of general practitioners and are statistically significant, and other obstetric headings have a high match with the job needs of general practitioners (p=0.0001).

Conclusion: Given that general practitioners in the country's health service system receive referrals from families, health homes, and health centers and must be able to diagnose emergency diseases of pregnant women, the homogeneity of obstetric headings in the general medicine course with the job needs of physicians is of great importance.
