Nowadays, sonography is accepted as the best method of calculation of gestational age. But as pregnancy enters into the third trimester, the accuracy of parameters determining the gestational age by ultrasound decreases. Therefore, there is a need to new ultrasonic parameters. This study was performed with the aim to evaluate the correlation between gestational age and fetal colon diameter; and finally establishing a normal range of colon diameter in Iranian fetuses. Methods: This cross-sectional study was performed on 100 pregnant women who had referred to the hospitals of Islamic Azad University of Mashhad for routine ultrasound assessment at third trimester in 2013-14. The patients underwent sonography. The maximum diameter of fetal descending colon was measured in transverse section, then its correlation with gestational age was assessed by Pearson correlation test. Data was analyzed by SPSS software (Version 16). Results: From 100 screened fetuses, 60 fetuses aged 38 weeks or more, and 40 fetuses aged less than 38 weeks. The minimum and maximum of measured colon diameter in preterm fetuses were 10.9, 13.4, respectively and in term fetuses were 13.5, 17.9 millimeter, respectively. Statistical analysis showed a significant relationship between gestational age and colon diameter(P=0/98). Conclusion: there is a good linear relationship between gestational age and fetal colon diameter; therefore, it can be used as an independent biometry for determining of gestational age. Also, colon diameter seems to be a good marker for identifying term fetuses.}, keywords = {Colon,Gestational Age,Ultrasonography}, title_fa = {تعیین سن بارداری و شناسایی جنین های ترم با اندازه گیری دیامتر کولون به وسیله سونوگرافی}, abstract_fa = {مقدمه: تعیین سن بارداری در مراقبت های دوران بارداری از اهمیت خاصی برخوردار است. امروزه سونوگرافی به عنوان بهترین روش محاسبه سن جنین پذیرفته شده است، اما با ورود به سه ماهه سوم بارداری، دقت پارامترهای تعیین کننده سن بارداری در سونوگرافی کاهش می یابد، لذا دسترسی به شاخص های جدیدتر سونوگرافیک ضروری است. مطالعه حاضر با هدف بررسی ارتباط دیامتر کولون جنین با سن بارداری و دسترسی به اندازه طبیعی آن در جنین های ایرانی انجام شد. روش کار:این مطالعه مقطعی در سال های 93-1392 بر روی 100 زن باردار که جهت ارزیابی های معمول سونوگرافیک سه ماهه سوم بارداری به بیمارستان های تابعه دانشگاه آزاد اسلامی مشهد مراجعه کرده بودند، انجام شد. تمام زنان باردار تحت سونوگرافی شکمی قرار گرفتند. در مقطع عرضی، بیش ترین دیامتر کولون نزولی جنین اندازه گیری شد، سپس ارتباط آن با سن بارداری به وسیله ضریب همبستگی پیرسون مورد بررسی قرار گرفت. تجزیه و تحلیل داده ها با استفاده از نرم افزار آماری SPSS (نسخه20) انجام شد. یافته ها: از 100 جنین مورد مطالعه، 60 جنین، 38 هفته یا بیشتر و 40 جنین، زیر 38 هفته بودند. حداقل و حداکثر دیامتر کولون اندازه گیری شده در جنین های پره ترم به ترتیب 9/10 و ۴/١۳ و در جنین های ترم ٥/١۳ و ۹/١٧ میلی متر بود. آنالیز آماری، همبستگی معناداری بین دیامتر کولون با سن بارداری نشان داد (98/0=p). نتیجه گیری: بین دیامتر کولون جنین با سن بارداری ارتباط خطی خوبی وجود دارد، لذا می توان از آن به عنوان یک بیومتری مستقل برای تعیین سن بارداری استفاده کرد. همچنین به نظر می رسد دیامتر کولون، شاخص مناسبی برای شناسایی جنین های ترم باشد}, keywords_fa = {اولتراسونوگرافی,کولون,سن بارداری}, url = {https://ijogi.mums.ac.ir/article_4229.html}, eprint = {https://ijogi.mums.ac.ir/article_4229_85c6c6203ca9a61e57b13d0bdb006325.pdf} }
