Today, clinical signs and symptoms are used for detection of vaginal atrophy. Laboratory techniques are other methods that can be used. The aim of this study was to compare the clinical and laboratory indexes for the diagnosis of vaginal atrophy in postmenopausal women. Methods: This correlational study was conducted in 2013 on 100 postmenopausal women who had attended tohealth centers number 1 and 3 and gynecology clinic of Ghaem hospital of Mashhad, Iran. Data were gathered by a demographic information form and observation and examination of vaginal atrophy form. Data were analyzed by SPSS software version 11.5, descriptive statistics and Spearman correlation coefficients. P value less than 0.05 was considered significant. Results: There was not significant correlation between vaginal dryness (p=0.08), elasticity of vagina (p=0.26), color of vagina (p=0.14), rugae (p=0.68) and vaginal petechiae (p=0.52) with vaginal maturation value but there was positive correlation between petechiae (p=0.00) and color of vagina (p=0.03) with vaginal PH. Conclusion: There are differences between the clinical and laboratory diagnosis of vaginal atrophy. Recognition of vaginal atrophy based on clinical signs and symptoms is not enough and according to the adverse effects of hormone therapy, it is recommended that definitive diagnosis of vaginal atrophy should be made based on laboratory evaluation.}, keywords = {Atrophy,Clinical Laboratory Techniques,Menopause,Vagina}, title_fa = {مقایسه شاخص های بالینی و آزمایشگاهی در تعیین آتروفی واژن زنان یائسه}, abstract_fa = {مقدمه:آتروفی واژن با کمبود استروژن در زنان یائسه اتفاق می افتد. امروزه به طور رایج از علائم و نشانه های بالینی برای تشخیص آتروفی واژن استفاده می شود. تکنیک های آزمایشگاهی از روش های دیگری هستند که می تواند جهت تشخیص آتروفی واژن استفاده شود. مطالعه حاضر با هدف مقایسه شاخص های بالینی و آزمایشگاهی جهت تعیین آتروفی واژن انجام شد. روش کار: این مطالعه همبستگی در سال1392 بر روی 100 زن یائسه در درمانگاه زنان بیمارستان قائم (عج) و مراکز بهداشت مشهد 1 و 3 مشهد انجام شد. ابزار گردآوری داده ها، پرسشنامه اطلاعات فردی و فرم مشاهده و معاینه آتروفی واژن بود. تجزیه و تحلیل داده ها با استفاده از نرم افزار آماری SPSS (نسخه 5/11) و آزمون های آماری توصیفی و ضریب همبستگی اسپیرمن انجام شد. میزان p کمتر از 05/0 معنی دار در نظر گرفته شد. یافته ها:در بررسی بالینی افراد مبتلا به آتروفی واژن، بین خشکی واژن (08/0=p)، الاستیسیته واژن (26/0=p)، رنگ واژن (14/0=p)، چین های عرضی واژن (68/0=p) و پتشی واژن(52/0=p) با درجه بلوغ سلول های واژن همبستگی معنی داری وجود نداشت. ولی بین پتشی (00/0=p) و رنگ (03/0=p) با نمرهPH  واژن همبستگی مستقیمی وجود داشت. نتیجه گیری: بین تشخیص بالینی و آزمایشگاهی آتروفی واژن تفاوت وجود دارد. تشخیص آتروفی واژن تنها بر اساس علائم و نشانه های بالینی کافی نمی باشد و با توجه به عوارض سوء درمان هورمونی، توصیه می شود تا در صورت امکان، تشخیص قطعی آتروفی واژن بر اساس ارزیابی های آزمایشگاهی صورت گیرد.}, keywords_fa = {آتروفی,تکنیک های آزمایشگاهی,واژن,یائسگی}, url = {https://ijogi.mums.ac.ir/article_3057.html}, eprint = {https://ijogi.mums.ac.ir/article_3057_a11aa8e97ce4d377931d37e93a602971.pdf} }
