Introduction :Chlamydia trachomatis and Mycoplasma genitalium are the most common cause of curable bacterial sexually transmitted infection (STI) worldwide.This infection causes urethritis, cervicitis, and pelvic inflammatory disease, which can lead to ectopic pregnancy or infertility. In this study, among 100 female patients who were referred to the Infertility Treatment Milad Infertility Center and Razavi Hospital of Mashhad for IVF.
Method :Got sample by sterilized swab from cervical .After transferring the swab containing the specimen into the broth medium and incubating at 37 ° C for 18 hours, the sample medium was centrifuged at 3000 rpm for 5 minutes.The precipitate was transferred to the microtiful and after three times washed and centrifuge was done with 7000 rpm for 7 minutes, then the DNA was extracted from the precipitate of the microtiumen sample by boiling The samples were then examined by PCR (Uniplex PCR) separately and with specific kits for each of these bacteria
Results: The results showed that 23 sample was positive for Chlamydia trachomatis and only one case was positive for Mycoplasma genitalium.
Conclusion:It is important to nourish infertile women who suffer from relatively severe conditions and relatively high costs of infertility treatment, including IVF.The presence of myco-plasma and chlamydia in the vagina it make it possible to transfer the infection to the embryo to a certain extent.. So it is advisable before any infertility treatment and transmit the patient's embryo, patients were monitored for the presence of these bacteria, and if positive, receive antibiotic treatment for these infections
