Coitus in late pregnancy may stimulate cervical ripening and secrete prostaglandin which may lead to uterine contractility and labor onset. The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship between sexual intercourse and onset of labor and prevention of post term pregnancy. Methods: This prospective study was held on 212 pregnant women over 39 weeks of low-risk referred to gynecology clinics at Ghaem and Omolbanin hospitals. Samples were selected by non-probable method based on objectives. Eligible individuals were chosen and categorized into two groups of control (102 persons) and case (110 persons). The Control group had no sexual intercourse until delivery. In case group first vaginal examination and Bishop Score determination and non-stress were done then they had sexual intercourse from the week 39 once or twice a week. Collected data were analyzed by the statistical SPSS software version 16, t-test, chi-square and Mann-Whitney tests. P value less than 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: The mean gestational age in two group had not significant different (p=0.3), need to stimulated delivery (p<0.0001), and rate of cesarean section (p<0.034) were significantly lower while the Bishop scores was higher in the case group (p<0.002). There was no difference in post term pregnancy (p<0.88) and complication of delivery (p<0.68) between two groups. Conclusion: Sexual intercourse at term may be associated with an earlier spontaneous onset of labor and less need to induction of labor and low cesarean section.}, keywords = {Delivery,labor,Post Term Pregnancy,Sexual intercourse,Term pregnancy}, title_fa = {تأثیر مقاربت جنسی در کاهش نیاز به اینداکشن در زمان ترم}, abstract_fa = {مقدمه: زایمان، مسیر نهایی و مهمترین قسمت بارداری محسوب می شود و آماده بودن سرویکس یکی از مهمترین جنبه های پیشرفت زایمان می باشد. انجام مقاربت جنسی باعث تحریک دهانه رحم و ترشح پروستاگالندین می شود که ممکن است باعث انقباض رحم و شروع دردهای زایمانی شود. مطالعه حاضر با هدف بررسی تأثیر مقاربت جنسی بر شروع زایمان و پیشگیری از زایمان پست ترم انجام شد. روشکار: این مطالعه آینده نگر در سال 1931 بر روی 818 زن باردار باالی 93 هفته با خطر پایین مراجعه کننده به درمانگاه مامایی بیمارستان های آموزشی قائم و ام البنین انجام شد. نمونه گیری به روش غیر احتمالی مبتنی بر هدف انجام شد. افراد واجد شرایط ورود به مطالعه انتخاب و در دو گروه شاهد )118 نفر( و مورد )111 نفر( قرار گرفتند. گروه شاهد، افراد بارداری بودند که هیچگونه مقاربت جنسی تا زمان زایمان نداشتند و در گروه مداخله، افراد باردار بعد از انجام معاینه واژینال و تعیین بیشاب اسکور و انجام نان استرس تست، از هفته 93 بارداری هفته ای 1-8 بار مقاربت جنسی داشتند. داده ها پس از گردآوری با استفاده از نرم افزار آماری SPSS )نسخه 11( و آزمون های تی تست، کای اسکوئر و من ویتنی مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار گرفت. میزان p کمتر از 1/10 معنی دار در نظر گرفته شد. یافتهها: میانگین سن بارداری در دو گروه تفاوت آماری معنی داری نداشت )p=1/9( ولی نیاز به تحریک زایمان )p>1/1111( و میزان سزارین )p=1/194( در گروه مورد به طور معنی داری کمتر و میانگین نمره بیشاب در هنگام پذیرش )p=1/118( باالتر بود. میزان بارداری پست ترم )p=1/22( و عوارض زایمانی )p=1/12( در دو گروه تفاوت معنی داری نداشت. نتیجهگیری: مقاربت جنسی در زنان باردار می تواند باعث شروع خود به خودی انقباض و نیاز کمتر به اینداکشن و کاهش میزان سزارین شود}, keywords_fa = {بارداری ترم,بارداری طول کشیده,درد زایمان,زایمان,فعالیت جنسی}, url = {https://ijogi.mums.ac.ir/article_5660.html}, eprint = {https://ijogi.mums.ac.ir/article_5660_c25a2dee62bfcaa725529c9ee3bcdf5a.pdf} }
