No definitive treatment has been certified for premenstrual syndrome. This paper tends to investigate the impact of life skills education on severity of psychological and physical premenstrual syndrome symptoms in university students. Methods: This clinical trial was conducted during February 2013 to June 2013 on 68 first year bachelor students who were resident in dormitory of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran. Students were randomly divided into two groups of education and control. Life skills were taught to education group in 8 sessions. Data collection tools include menstrual and demographic information questionnaire, general health questionnaire, temporary diagnosis form of premenstrual syndrome, daily status report form, knowledge and attitude assessment form about premenstrual syndrome. Data were analyzed using SPSS software version 16 and statistical tests such as Mann-Whitney, independent t-test, paired t-test and chi-square. P value less than 0.05 was considered significant. Results: Both groups were similar in age, age at menarche, body mass index, parental education and occupation, academic field of study, socio-economic class, dysmenorrhea and its severity, premenstrual syndrome severity, delay in performing daily activities and absences from the classroom due to premenstrual syndrome, knowledge and attitudes about premenstrual syndrome. After the intervention, the severity of psychological premenstrual syndrome had significant difference in two groups (p=0.005), but in the severity of physical premenstrual syndrome no significant difference was observed (p=0.907). Conclusion: Life skills education decreased the severity of psychological symptom of premenstrual syndrome.  }, keywords = {Education,Premenstrual Syndrome,Students}, title_fa = {بررسی تأثیر آموزش مهارت های زندگی بر شدت علائم سندرم قبل از قاعدگی}, abstract_fa = {مقدمه: سندرم قبل از قاعدگی، مجموعه ای از علائم ناخوشایند فیزیکی، روانی یا رفتاری است که به صورت تکرار شونده در فاز لوتئال چرخه قاعدگی مشاهده می شود. 90 درصد زنان، درجاتی از نشانه های سندرم قبل از قاعدگی را تجربه می کنند. تاکنون درمانی برای سندرم قبل از قاعدگی تأیید نشده است. مطالعه حاضر با هدف بررسی تأثیر آموزش مهارت های زندگی بر شدت علائم روانی و جسمانی سندرم قبل از قاعدگی دانشجویان انجام شد. روش‌کار: این مطالعه کارآزمایی بالینی دو گروهه از بهمن ماه سال 1391 تا پایان خرداد ماه سال 1392 بر روی 68 دانشجوی سال اول کارشناسی ساکن در خوابگاه دانشگاه فردوسی مشهد انجام شد. افراد به طور تصادفی در دو گروه آموزش و کنترل قرار گرفتند. گروه آموزش، مهارت‌های زندگی را طی 8 جلسه آموزش دیدند. ابزار گردآوری داده‌ها، پرسشنامه اطلاعات فردی و قاعدگی، پرسشنامه سلامت عمومی، فرم تشخیص موقت سندرم قبل از قاعدگی، فرم ثبت وضعیت روزانه علائم و فرم‌های سنجش آگاهی و نگرش درباره سندرم قبل از قاعدگی بود. داده‌ها با استفاده از نرم افزار آماری SPSS (نسخه 16) و آزمون‌های من ویتنی، تی مستقل، تی زوج و کای اسکوئر مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار گرفتند. میزان p کمتر از 05/0 معنی دار در نظر گرفته شد. یافته‌ها: دو گروه از نظر متغیرهای سن، سن منارک، شاخص توده بدنی، تحصیلات و شغل پدر و مادر، رشته تحصیلی، طبقه اجتماعی - اقتصادی، دیسمنوره و شدت آن، شدت سندرم قبل از قاعدگی، تأخیر در انجام فعالیت ‌های روزانه و غیبت از کلاس درس به دلیل سندرم قبل از قاعدگی، آگاهی و نگرش درباره سندرم قبل از قاعدگی همگن بودند. دو گروه از نظر شدت علائم روانی سندرم قبل از قاعدگی بعد از مداخله تفاوت معنی داری داشتند (005/0=p). اما از نظر شدت علائم جسمانی سندرم قبل از قاعدگی در بعد از مداخله، تفاوت معنی داری مشاهده نشد (907/0=p). نتیجه‌گیری: آموزش مهارت های زندگی، شدت علائم روانی سندرم قبل از قاعدگی را کاهش می دهد.  }, keywords_fa = {آموزش,دانشجویان,سندرم قبل از قاعدگی}, url = {https://ijogi.mums.ac.ir/article_1908.html}, eprint = {https://ijogi.mums.ac.ir/article_1908_8b3b7d70214cacc7d04c1ea7a75f8507.pdf} }
