Lanolin is the recommended treatment to improve nipple pain. The anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties of boswellia have been approved. Therefore, this study was performed with aim to determine the effect of boswellia and lanolin ointment on nipple pain intensity in lactating women. Methods: This triple-blind randomized clinical trial was performed in 2018 on 68 lactating women with pain intensity of > 3 in pain visual scale in Mashhad. The subjects were placed in two groups of lanolin and boswellia ointment. The correct method of lactation and drug use were taught to the two groups. The score of nipple pain was recorded by the researcher before the intervention, on day three and eight after the intervention. Data were analyzed by SPSS software (version 21) and T, Fisher, Chi-square and Wilcoxon statistical tests. P<0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: Before the intervention, mean pain severity in the two groups of lanolin and boswellia ointment was not significantly different (P = 0.23). On the seventh day after the intervention, mean pain severity was not significantly different in the two groups of lanolin and boswellia ointment (P = 0.40). But on the third day, mean of pain severity was significantly different between the two groups of lanolin and boswellia ointment (p <0.001) and pain intensity was lower in boswellia group than lanolin group. In intra-group comparison, mean pain intensity after the intervention (3rd and seventh day) was lower than the pre-intervention stage, which was statistically significant (P <0.001). Conclusion: Boswellia ointment and lanolin are same effective in reducing nipple pain.}, keywords = {Boswellia,Lanolin,Nipple,Pain}, title_fa = {مقایسه اثر پماد کندر و لانولین بر شدت درد نوک پستان زنان شیرده: کارآزمایی بالینی تصادفی شده}, abstract_fa = {مقدمه: شیوع درد نوک پستان بین 96-34% گزارش شده است و یکی از دلایل شایع قطع زودهنگام شیردهی است. لانولین، درمان توصیه شده جهت بهبود درد نوک پستان است. گیاه کندر دارای خواص ضدالتهابی و ضد‌درد تأیید شده می‌باشد، لذا مطالعه حاضر با هدف تعیین اثر پماد کندر و لانولین بر شدت درد نوک پستان در زنان شیرده انجام شد. روش‌کار: این مطالعه کارآزمایی بالینی تصادفی سه‌سوکور در سال 1397 بر روی 68 زن شیرده که شدت درد بیش از 3 از مقیاس دیداری درد را داشتند، در مشهد انجام شد. افراد در دو گروه لانولین و پماد کندر قرار گرفتند. روش صحیح شیردهی و طریقه استعمال دارو به دو گروه آموزش داده شد. نمره درد نوک پستان توسط پژوهشگر در مراحل قبل از مداخله، روز سوم و هشتم بعد از مداخله ثبت شد. تجزیه و تحلیل داده‌ها با استفاده از نرم‌افزار SPSS (نسخه 21) و آزمون‌های آماری تی، فیشر، کای دو و ویلکاکسون انجام شد. میزان p کمتر از 05/0 معنی‌دار در نظر گرفته شد. یافته‌ها: قبل از مداخله میانگین شدت درد در دو گروه لانولین و پماد کندر تفاوت آماری معنی‌داری نداشت (23/0=p). در روز هفتم بعد از مداخله نیز میانگین شدت درد در دو گروه لانولین و پماد کندر تفاوت معنی‌داری نداشت (40/0=p)، ولی در روز سوم، میانگین شدت درد بین دو گروه لانولین و پماد کندر تفاوت آماری معناداری داشت (001/0>p) و شدت درد در گروه کندر کمتر از گروه لانولین بود. در مقایسه درون‌گروهی، در هر دو گروه میانگین شدت درد بعد از مداخله (روز سوم و هفتم) کمتر از مرحله قبل از مداخله بود که این تفاوت از نظر آماری معنی‌دار بود (001/0>p). نتیجه‌گیری: پماد کندر و لانولین به یک میزان در کاهش درد نوک پستان مؤثرند.   کلمات کلیدی: درد، کندر، لانولین، نوک پستان}, keywords_fa = {درد,کندر,لانولین,نوک پستان}, url = {https://ijogi.mums.ac.ir/article_14191.html}, eprint = {https://ijogi.mums.ac.ir/article_14191_f5f571c7f1d1398d18893cc6fae999d2.pdf} }
