Auriculotherapy could be an effective approach to reduce anxiety. The present study aimed to evaluate the effect of auriculotherapy with vaccaria seeds on the anxiety in female colposcopy candidates. Methods: This single-blind clinical trial was conducted on 61 women referring to Ghaem Hospital in Mashhad, Iran for colposcopy in 2017. The research units were selected via random allocation and classified into two groups of intervention and placebo. In the intervention group, vaccaria seeds were attached to the acupoints (shenmen, relaxation, tranquilizer, and endocrine) of the patients three days before colposcopy. The patients were asked to press each point for one minute three times a day. In the placebo group, labels without seeds were attached to unrelated points to anxiety. Anxiety levels were measured before and after the intervention (immediately before colposcopy) using Spielberger's state-trait anxiety inventory. Data analysis was performed in SPSS version 22 using independent and paired t-test, Mann-Whitney U test, and Wilcoxon test at the significance level of P<0.05. Results: After the intervention, mean scores of state anxiety were 44.5±9.9 and 49.2±7.8 in the intervention and placebo groups, respectively, and a significant difference was observed between the groups in this regard (P=0.041). In addition, mean score of trait anxiety were 43.80±8.77 and 47.9±8.35 in the intervention and placebo groups, respectively, showing a significant difference between the groups (P=0.049). Conclusion: According to the results, auriculotherapy could effectively reduce the anxiety of the subjects after the intervention. Therefore, auriculotherapy is recommended as a beneficial approach to decrease anxiety in colposcopy candidates.}, keywords = {Anxiety,Auriculotherapy,Colposcopy}, title_fa = {بررسی تأثیر اوریکولوتراپی با سید واکاریا بر اضطراب زنان کاندید کولپوسکوپی}, abstract_fa = {مقدمه: اضطراب قبل از کولپوسکوپی، موجب درد و ناراحتی در طی انجام روش می‌گردد. اوریکولوتراپی ممکن است جهت کاهش اضطراب مفید باشد، لذا مطالعه حاضر با هدف تعیین تأثیر اوریکولوتراپی با سید واکاریا بر اضطراب زنان کاندید کولپوسکوپی انجام شد. روش‌کار: این مطالعه کارآزمایی بالینی یک سو‌کور در سال 1396 بر روی 61 زن کاندید کولپوسکوپی مراجعه‌کننده به بیمارستان قائم (عج) مشهد انجام شد. واحد‌های پژوهش با تخصیص تصادفی در دو گروه قرار گرفتند. در گروه مداخله، از 3 روز قبل کولپوسکوپی سیدهای واکاریا در نقاط شن من، ریلکسیشن، ترانکولایزر و آندوکرین، در یک گوش نصب و از بیمارن خواسته ‌شد تا هر سید را به مدت 1 دقیقه، 3 بار در روز فشار دهند. در گروه پلاسبو چسب بدون سید در نقاط غیر‌مرتبط با اضطراب چسبانده شد. میزان اضطراب با استفاده از پرسشنامه اشپیل برگر قبل و پس از مداخله (بلافاصله قبل از کولپوسکوپی) ارزیابی شد. تجزیه و تحلیل داده‌ها با استفاده از نرم‌افزار آماری SPSS (نسخه 22) و آزمون‌های تی مستقل، تی زوجی، من ویتنی و ویلکاکسون انجام شد. میزان p کمتر از 05/0 معنی‌دار در نظر گرفته شد. یافته‌ها: پس از مداخله، میانگین نمره اضطراب آشکار در گروه مداخله 9/9 ±5/44 و پلاسبو 8/7 ±2/49 بود و بین دو گروه اختلاف آماری معنیداری مشاهده شد (041/0=p). همچنین میزان اضطراب پنهان در گروه مداخله 77/8±80/43 و در گروه پلاسبو 35/8 ±9/47 بود که تفاوت آماری معنی‌داری بین گروه‌ها وجود داشت (049/0=p). نتیجه‌گیری: با توجه به کاهش سطح اضطراب پس از مداخله، اوریکولوتراپی به‌عنوان یک روش مناسب، جهت کاهش اضطراب بیماران کاندید ‌کولپوسکوپی توصیه می‌گردد.   کلماتکلیدی: اضطراب، اوریکولوتراپی، کولپوسکوپی}, keywords_fa = {اضطراب,اوریکولوتراپی,کولپوسکوپی}, url = {https://ijogi.mums.ac.ir/article_10584.html}, eprint = {https://ijogi.mums.ac.ir/article_10584_a3b1b2dc91395b12bb8e9b8c96814ac5.pdf} }
